The chance to visit people and archaeological sites around the world is one of Hannah's favorite job perks. Inspired by trips to Peru to visit a colleague's former excavation sites, she developed a short-term research project funded by the National Gallery of Art's Center for the Advanced Study of Visual Art. With CASVA's support, she studied pilgrimage practices, particularly related to movement of the body through architectural spaces, at major religious and cultural sites in Thailand, Cambodia, and Laos.
